We were supposed to meet Tim at 8 and he didn’t get there until 8:40. I took off first and Tim never caught us again. I didn’t use the motor on the ATV even on the long hills, proud of me. Dogs did great, lots of puddles to drink out of and cool feet in.

Good run, a little slow on the road but they flew through the lumpity bumpity’s. Josh didn’t catch me until just before we hit the airport, never saw Tim. Nice and cool with puddles to drink out of. 5 miles

6th run Saturday, September 25, 2010 A/C w/ Josh and Katy/Kaylee
Same 8 line up
Another good run, they are getting up the hill pretty darn good now. Josh out first, than me then Katy/Kaylee. They never caught me and Katy got lost because I didn’t wait for them. I felt bad, I went looking for Katy when I got back on the ATV but she got back just after I took off and then the ATV died and I couldn’t get it started again. Another adventure. Damian came with us to train. \

Another good run, I’m getting spoiled. Warm by the time we got back. Lady stopped her car to get a picture of the team. She said they were beautiful. Well, of course.

The dogs started off awesome but then slowed, it was a bit warm and the hills were in the sun. Stryker was being a butt head but finally got it in gear. It took Giani a long time to catch up with us.

The dogs took off like rockets but it didn’t last long and then we had a head on pass with Laura D. Her team ran right into mine and there was a big tangle but not a growl or a snarf from my guys it was amazing because the first 4 dogs were all entangled together. Laura had to undo a bunch of tug lines etc and then she forgot to hook back the neckline to my leaders. Slow run, warm run.

When we got to the A/C Y and parked about 3 cars pulled up to the campsite that was right there and I though OH NO, I don’t want to do this but I did. Josh and Giani etc were late and the dogs were screaming to go. Dogs ran great. 5 miles

Sunday, October 17, 2010 Sears Creek w/ Katy

We didn’t run until 10 and it was still cool enough, first frost at the house today. I went first and the dogs took off great, Katy was running 8 also and she never caught up with me and I stopped twice to adjust the orange vest on Gracie and once for something else and I never saw her until we got to the turnaround spot and watered. Jeff followed with Damian and Tom in the truck. 8 miles

Saturday, October 23, 2010 Camp K 8 dog sprint race

When I took off I didn’t notice but the ATV was in reverse and they took off great but slowed down very soon. Katy caught me FAST and we ran together the whole race. They walked up both hills again and it was warm but we only came in 1 ½ minutes slower than Kaylee and 10 minutes faster than Tim.

Sunday Oct 24, 2010 Camp K 8 dog sprint race

Took off good as usual and actually ran fast a little longer than usual but then of course Stryker had to poop. I never caught Kaylee and she only took off 1 min ahead of me. 5 minutes longer today then yesterday, everyone else’s time was faster. It really helped to chase and run with Kaylee for my time yesterday. Last place AGAIN. Pouring rain, lots of puddles the dogs thought they had to stop at every one of them to drink.

Saturday, October 30, 2010 Ran from Rock Creek towards Trinity

We met Tim at the snow park and then Katy and Kaylee got there a few minutes later. We drove up to Rock Creek. Tim took off first, then me, then Kaylee. Kaylee was running 10 dogs and Tim was running 9. I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t caught Tim in the first 10 minutes or so and it took Kaylee quite a while to catch me and we ran together to the turnaround. It was pouring rain and I was soaked through and freezing. When we got to the turnaround her team and mine got all tangled and there wasn’t one growl or snarf---super cool. We turned around and headed back, I only saw Kaylee once going up a hill and I started using the motor going uphill, I was soooo cold and wet I just wanted to get back. Tim had only gone to the first campground and turned around because of Reggie, he forgot Comet and Jeff or Kaylee went back to let Comet out to run and Comet couldn’t find Tim so he turned around and went past the campground so they had to go catch Comet and Tim turned around and didn’t run anymore. It was a miserable run because I was so cold and wet.

We met Josh and Giani at the snow park at 7:30 and Josh was actually there on time, Giani was a few minutes late. Tom was there to lend Josh a couple of dogs. I took off first, then Josh than Giani. We were going to do 10 miles but there was a gate across the road at 3 ½ miles so we had to turn around. Josh had taken off a few minutes after me and he hadn’t caught me by the time I got to the turn around. Of course it was pouring rain and I was soaked. The dogs ran FAST for a long time when we took off and the trip back was very fast. Josh and I ran side by side for quite a while on the way back. I kept looking for Giani but he was way behind us. Our passing went great as long as I passed him on the left side if I tried on the right side Stryker would go towards his dogs. He is such a jerk, he is fine if I pass on the left though because Sie is between him and the other team.
